ULIDAVARU KANDANTE - RAKSHITH UTTARA KODI... ILLA SHOOT MAADBEKAAA...

1. How did you even come up with such thought, idea and that intricate screenplay? How did you visualize that aspect of perspectives and have presented us this masterpiece?

2. You have linked so many aspects... Now this is what we call mind bending... Whats the significance of Baagilanu theredu seveyanu kodo hariye BGM when you kick the door.... So my guess of the new dimension above is correct... You are just ultimate..... take a bow.. How did you manage this?

3. Now with all those burden of being behind the camera, how did you come up with such a sparkling performance with ease... feeling like shouting "entha performance maaraya..." exactly in your style....

4. You know when you stop Sheetal in that scene where she tries to talk saying "CHUP" in your ragad style, the audience cheered.. they just love your body language.... Welcome to the club of the next gen.... handsome, dashing, intelligent... eager to watch your Tuglak now... never knew you would make it this far... whats the secret behind this?

5. You rocked in SOLS and now you shocked and mesmerized us in UK in another avatar... Was it a deliberate move?

6. Sync Sound... had expected an experience matching with Saathiya.. believe me, it actually surpassed.. I just lived there with those characters... Baagilu thattheera... Dhad Dhad antha sound aadmele kara kara antha kelsatthe.... brilliant... Whats your opinion now?

7. Did Thara ma'am act? dont think so... she was picture perfect... probably her best expressions I saw ever... Her eyes in that scene... man.. am still in that scene even now... the way she looks at the clock desperately... Did she came to know the truth.. You didn't reveal that.. Why were you so cruel?

8. Some people were telling second half drags... You know what.. the best part of the movie is second half.. With Thara ma'am stepping in, Male marethu, Kanna Mucchi, Pranaya Raaja entry, the superhit Gaatiya Ilidu, Yagna sweet smile. Paper paper And wow... Baalu.. Wait let me ask you about this Kaaki puraana in next question... the mega song Kaakig Banna and then with Final showdown my sheer joy reached its peak... How were you so confident about this execution?

9. My heart jumped with joy whenever Kaakig Banna BGM started... You and magician Ajanish have teased me a lot with Kaakig Banna BGM looping every now and then before actual song starts.. And you know what.. I loved every bit of it... wonderful that you used my favorite song in this way... People like me will be on their toes for the song to start.. And this Kaaki concept... Nim paada xerox kodi Sir... something unusual and marvellous execution by Achyuth aka Baalu... forgot all those performances of him before this.. Henceforth he will be Kaaki Baalu for me.... You should see the way he dances for a while in hulivesha and suddenly looks up to see if Kaaki is around... ha ha ha what a performer... convey my wishes to him... Whats the significance of this Kaaki and references of Shaneshwara and that "THING"? oh man... have you tried to tell something completely different in this murder mystery as per common viewer?

10. Each scene is telling me a different story and different meaning now.. just like how you said thats the fun of philosophy when we both were discussing about Kaakig Banna... Am I right?

11. Multidimensional, thought provoking, mind bending, awe inspiring and possibly "THAT" new dimension as well.... What more?

12. Where did you get the "democracy"? I mean the kid... You know.. Poeple loved him whenever he was on screen... Yappa... Paper Paper picturization.. En Sir.. neevu.. adoo bere first time direction... the visuals inbetween where Kishore keeps on enquiring and that shot where kids run towards sea in slow motion.. Kudos.... Hege Sir idella?

13. What do you call that style of picturization which I saw first time in any Kannada movie.. I am referring that whole scene where Rishab escapes from goons and then the fight sets in.. never saw that in any Kannada movie till now... eneno surprise elements ittideeralla Saar? Fab it was....

14. Boda Sheera... Entha Saav maaraya... Ninge Cuban kid, mandva hudgan kathe gottha... Avnyaak nan hodedha antha confusion alwa... Attention everybody... Phata Poster Nikla hero.. Baagilanu theredu... Nan Photo kotbidi.... "CHUP".... Naan moogu murdideenandre adu correct aagi murdirbeku.... RITCHIE ROCKS.... HE JUST ROCKS..... Your Smile, Your Shtyle, That belt, That garland, That black dress, That hulivesha dance...... How did you pull this off?

15. Sheetal Voice... She was spashta, sulalitha, saraaga like how Rangayana Raghu says in Paramaathma... Though she uses English lines every now and then, she had that grace in her screen presence... Silentaagi Sheetal ge neevu kaalu haakodanthu superb... Neevu, Sheetal matthe pair aagi maadi... enantheera?

16. Camera work... Thara aduge maadtha irthaare.. nammamma aduge maadthidaareno ansutthe saar... That each and every tiny details of cooking where the steam of the rice splashes on camera... That scene where the 'THING" is lifted along with fishes.. En Saar adhu Visual effect ee scene nalli... aa Rishab fight scene.... Kishore neneskondaagella Yagna sitting at beach... That rain sequence of yours... so pleasing... Award worthy cinematography... best experience I had... Painting andre kadimene... more than that... SOLS was also like a painting and now this one surpassing that.. EACH MOVIE OF YOURS IS GETTING UPGRADED TECHNICALLY QUALITY WISE... How is this sir?

17. Ajaneesh... Marvel kid of Sandalwood as someone said... BGM lifts many scenes and slow scenes as per few of them... For me BGM was such a divine experience in this movie... music anthu... immersed myself... Knock Knock shabdha keli Gaatiyalli ilide.. Paper paper anno hudugranna kande, Kaaki na nodidhe,  Kanna mucchi Male marethu nadedhe.... You have already seen those continuous analysis of mine on songs.. Do I need to say more?

18. Rishabh - A very good find... had seen him in Lucia.. Now here he rocks as Raghu.. That helpless looks and fear when someone bangs the door... the pain when he sees his mother... He rocked escpecially during that chase and fight.. What do you say?

19. Pranaya Raaja - Was wondering how come Kishore is being slightly neglected in first half.. And then you fulfilled all my expectations... Towards end, our Pranaya Raaja's role almost stood as high as yours... Great.... Kishore avru kanmucchi kanasu kaanodanthu super... alwa Sir?

20. The native dialogues makes us feel we are actually present there along with the characters... But at few places, was not able to apprehend.. Do you agree?

21. The THING, Shankranna, Dinesha, Reference of Shaneshwara, clever depiction in Yakshagaana, a mother waiting for her son, A journalist part of the story but resides out of it and collects perceptions.. Bhangi, Cuban Kid, Red bag, Udupi, Malpe, democracy, China made boat machine, Rayban glass, hulivesha, Ba Baaro Baaro Ranadheera, Bangade fish, Dubai, Kaaki, Bedaru Bombe, Berchappa, Mumbai, Dummy camera, Kelada pisumaathu, Boda Sheera, Jaid eli bili sunna, Baagilanu theredu, Madhvachaarya.....  ?????

22. How was your journey throughout... brilliantly etched characters... their emotions and feelings captured in right proportions...

23. Have not seen your Tuglak... one of our member had that "Tughlak" along with his ID... But that look of yours looking sideways with those glasses is still in my mind... Then saw that infamous dialogue in trailer and then buzz after the first review for SOLS and when someone said Mungaru Male of 2013.. And yes indeed it was like a fresh breeze.. SOLS will always remain as a best memory with warmth for me.. the tears in your eyes when she asks you "who are you" in the morning... And now in an entirely different avatar, coming up with such out of box concept, visualizing an innovative thought, bringing up top notch quality in each and every aspect of movie making, getting into the skin of RITCHIE, those flawless expressions, vigour, ease in body language, that charming smile, that energy, the brain behind all these, at such young age....  Aren't you the "THING" in that bag... Shouldn't I call you the "GEM"?

24. Uttara Kodtheera?

25. Illa Shoot maadbekaaaa?

Ulidavaru Kandante is a path breaking & landmark cinema in Kannada Film industry. Hats off to Rakshit Shetty for such a brave attempt. The non linear story telling approach, the way coastal Karnataka life is captured, Actors who perfectly fit the incredible characters, World class Camera work and background score, everything is just perfect.

Its like Quentin Tarantino & Martin Scorsese coming together for a Kannada movie.
Ulidavaru Kandante is not just a movie, it is a mind bending experience.
