After producing Anuraga Spandana in the late 90s, Manju has been one of the most prolific producers Sandalwood has seen. Between them, three producers; Manju, Rockline Venkatesh and Ramu have produced 100 films in these 15 years. All the three are now nearing 50 films individually. “Super Ranga” has Upendra and Kriti Kharbanda paired for the first time.

The supporting cast features Priyanka Rao, Raghu Mukherjee, Doddanna, Rangayana Raghu, Bullet Prakash, and Sridhar. The film is a remake of the 2009 Telugu film, Kick. The Kannada rights of the film was first procured by N Kumar to make a film with Sudeep. The film did not happen and the rights fell on the lap of Manju.
